
Every first Friday of the month = VrijMiWod. No regular WOD, but something special and always different. On Friday January 2nd we're turning our box into an Apenkooien-arena. It's a full-on game of tag meets obstacle course: a chance to tap into your inner kid, get sweaty, and train agility, strength and awareness in a fun, unpredictable way.
What is Apenkooien?
Apenkooien is a classic tag-style game that you might remember from gym class, but now reimagined for grown-ups who still like to move, aka: you.
Players navigate a playground of obstacles, like benches, boxes, mats, ropes and must move across them without ever touching the floor. One person is the tagger and tries to catch the others. Everyone else scrambles, climbs and swings to stay off the floor and out of reach.
What to expect?
Think of it as Apenkooi meets CrossFit.
We’ll build a layout in the box you can climb, balance on, jump over or move across and the session will flow somewhere between a game and a workout. You’ll run, scramble, react, jump, swing, maybe team up, maybe chase…
The only rule set in stone:
Feet off the floor.
Touch the floor? That comes with consequences.
A mix of play, challenge and a whole lot of movement.
Show up ready to sweat, ready to scramble and ready to have fun.
